Bossy’s Guest Riders – But Wait There’s More

As some of you may remember, Bossy was recently in Los Angeles consorting with a 2012 Ford Focus. Each day for a blessed week Bossy was graced with a guest passenger who acted as Bossy’s tour guide to the real L.A. So far:

1. Bossy ate a french-dipped sandwich in Chinatown with a Diane Lane lookalike
2. Bossy visited the Hollywood haunts of her boyfriend Robert Culp with a Robert Culp lookalike
3. Bossy hiked the nature with a Sissy Spacek lookalike

And then. And then!

This is Barbra, but you can call her not just Barbra. And on the morning of Bossy’s whatever day in Los Angeles, Barbara navigated Bossy to Venice Italy, hold the Italy.

Everything you know about cute and happy happens here in Venice California on the canals.

And then, after walking up and down each and every canal path, across bridges and back across bridges, analyzing each house, each rowboat, each fence to gate ratio, Bossy and her friend Barbra did what any two social scientists would do.

After lunch Bossy and her friend Barbra walked along the Venice Beach boardwalk. You know how, in the movies, Venice Beach is all crazy with music and hippies and skateboarders and skaters and other skaters in addition to skaters? Well Bossy doesn’t want to give it away, but let’s just say that doesn’t not happen.

   Those canals in Venice CA look very familiar. I’m thinking Simon & Simon, and a foot-chase backed with electrifying dialogue like: “Wait, there he goes, get him!” something like that.

   Looking at the last photograph, Olivia wondered “And what is THAT? Does it have something to do with double negative decoder rings?” Are those aliens? (Olivia was one of those hippie types who used to rearrange her brain architecture so things are probably still scrambled.) Finally she figured out (she thinks) that it is a night photo of those skaters. She thinks……..

   Okay. So I have NEVER had the desire to live/move/even visit LA (my husband works there often and we have lots of friends there, but we just haven’t made it there together). Your posts, seriously, have made me reconsider my newly planted Southern roots and move west (though I did live in AK, which is WAY west but a different west).
