Bossy’s Excellent Road Trip. Day We Have A Lot Of Catching Up To Do.

This gentleman is Miles and he smiles. But only if you’re a person—he doesn’t waste his time smiling at dogs because they just don’t get it.

Miles belongs to Bossy’s Madison host. If you don’t already know Bossy’s Madison host, here are a couple of fun-filled facts: in a few days she will leave to backpack the Appalachian Trail:

She’ll live in this tent for seven days, carrying all her belongings on her person. See how Bossy did that? Said on her person, just like Bossy is actually a seventy-year-old homicide detective in Corpus Christi?

Another fun-filled fact: Bossy’s host prepared a ton of complicated camping food and then dehydrated it for her trip:

Plus Bossy’s host likes to watch football, she knows a thing or two about financial planning, and she knows how to craft a bowl out of an instant lemonade container and now do you understand why Bossy’s husband thinks Bossy’s Madison host may just be The Ideal Woman?

Anyway. Last night Bossy and her host had a great time pounding sushi with a couple of other Madison bloggers. Like her and her:

Today Bossy will head to Chicago across Wisconsin and Illinois farmland:

A couple of days ago, Bossy was in St. Louis. See how Bossy did that? Made a clunky transition from Madison forward to Chicago and then back to St. Louis? That’s because Bossy isn’t just losing sunglasses along her Excellent Road Trip, but also small bits of brain matter.

Back to St. Louis: on Sunday night Bossy got together with a bunch of local bloggers at this cool restaurant:

Bossy has this to say about the St. Louis bloggers: mocha martinis in the back room of a quiet restaurant late on a Sunday night? Hellza yes if you are a blogger in St. Louis.

Bossy promises next time she will tell you about the Kansas City get-together, which took place the night before St. Louis. And then just for kicks Bossy will tell you about San Diego, which she visited in early April. And then Bossy will tell you about the Orlando get-together, which took place in 1862.

    anyways, about this dehydrated food you have going here, i have this to say from my experience with dehydrated food.

    It is usually ok going down if you have the right food, or if it was made properly, which i am not doubting, but beware of when it returns, beause if you thought regular food smells bad as a gas, wait til you meet dehydrated food.

    anyways, backpacking is always fun, but stressful, Good Luck Bossy.
