Bossy’s Spectacular Bowl-A-Thon.

Versus_3

Last thursday night Bossy had the opportunity to go on a blind date with seven other women bloggers from her region! Bossy was so excited to meet these Blogrrlz!

The plan was to go bowling, and the organizer booked two lanes. Bossy was one of the first to arrive because damned if she was going to miss a second of happy hour she wanted time for her bowling hand to adjust to the alley’s milieu.

Bossy was a little nervous at first because she lives with the daily fear that her enormous thumb will get stuck in something. But the bowling alley assured Bossy they are responsible for any bowling related issues.

While the other Blogrrlz successfully selected their balls, Bossy’s fingers wouldn’t fit in anything she tried. But fortunately for Bossy the nice man at the bowling alley showed Bossy where they keep the 14-pound balls meant
for drowning people for big-handed people, and in no time at all the Blogrrlz’ balls were lined up and they were set to begin:

The Blogrrlz divided into two teams -Team City and Team Suburbs – and each team was assigned an alley. Bossy bowled for Team City because Bossy is embarrassed that she lives in the suburbs Team City needed players. The whole team thing wasn’t the point anyway since none of the Blogrrlz were competitive.

Soon both games were underway. The camaraderie between the players was really unique. For instance between her and her:

It really touched Bossy that whenever anyone bowled a particularly bad frame the other Blogrrlz pretended they didn’t notice. Especially her.

But mistakes were the rare exception because all the Blogrrlz were excellent bowlers who practiced upstanding bowling etiquette:

Because as it turns out the Blogrrlz take bowling very seriously. Especially her. And her.

In fact Bossy thinks a few of the Blogrrlz were actually professional bowlers who just didn’t want to brag. Leah was particularly adept:

All that dancing bowling made the Blogrrlz mighty hungry. Luckily the bowling alley came outfitted with a roving waitress who was totally crabby thrilled to serve delicacies to match every whim:

After finishing the hummus their game, the Blogrrlz decided that another game would really help expand their bowling skills. And when Bossy says bowling skills she immediately thinks of her.

Before they knew it three hours had passed.

Because it was getting late and everyone’s breast milk was coming in
right, left, and center, the Blogrrlz needed to quickly distribute the winning prizes. Team Suburb won for best overall score, but other commendations were also considered:

And guess who won for highest overall score?
