The (No) Book Tour Countdown. Day 11.
Welcome to the (No) Book Tour Countdown, where Bossy will — and this is a stretch — count down the days until she leaves on her (No) Book Tour. Bossy will use this space to detail what she’s up to as she plans, organizes, and collapses in fits. Shall we?
Try not to think Bossy is too sexy for this road trip, but the above boxes are what arrived in the mail today — they are knee-high compression stockings. In nude.
Isn’t it a coincidence that the girl on the front of the box is also climbing out of her road trip car, after waking up at 4:30 a.m., so she can drive for six hours, keeping herself awake by allowing herself one Pringle every mile marker?
Except Bossy doesn’t drive in heels, she wears sneakers, and Bossy doesn’t drive in a dress, she drives in yoga pants, and Bossy doesn’t drive, she forges ahead.
Anyway, this is what Bossy is up to these days: fretting over the planning of her itinerary and awaiting UPS trucks which deliver things Bossy will need while she’s gone, such as these stockings and a package of her favorite
ace bandages bras.

Are you sending e-mails Bossy? Cuz I signed up in that first weekend with an e-mail exchange and everything and I haven’t heard from you. I will go an see if Gmail is betraying me by expanding the powers of it’s junk folder.
Pringles are by far the best road trip snack ever. I’m not sure I could stick to the one every mile marker challenge though…I’d probably start going into convulsions.

Bossy darling, you are hilarious. So wonderful, in fact, that whenever anything particularly good happens in my life, I wish for a Bossy-fied post on the subject. Alas, my skills, they are not as good as Bossy’s.

Okay, so here’s the thing…I’m going to be doing a cross-country move (California –> Massachusetts) starting on the 8th. So, basically, while Bossy is on her No Book Tour, I’m on my No Home Tour. I’m putting myself on the email list anyway and perhaps there will be kismet or fate or the stars will align or something & we’ll be touring the same part of the country at the same time & I’ll get to be part of the NBT! I’m betting BOSSY has already figured out that those stockings have nothing to do with fashion.
I put my info and got an email off to my cousin and sister. I swear we are nice and funny people. Will be anxiously awaiting an email from you sometime…like when you will be in Texas. If you decide to stay with us we won’t ask you to paint or anything. Cross my heart…not like the ungratefuls of a while back.
