And While We’re On The Subject Of Rats: Where The Fuck’s The Rodent, Episode #92.

This is Bossy’s back porch. It’s now covered with plastic because it is winter.

And this is the hole that appeared in the plastic on Friday morning even though Bossy’s husband defended that the newly installed plastic would sure as surely sure dissuade pests more effectively than our old screen material.

But do you know what the Rodent thought of Bossy’s husband’s whole foolproof plastic idea? He chewed it up and spit it out.

On late Friday afternoon it became abundantly clear to Bossy’s husband that he had approximately 67 hours worth of Bossy’s vermin-infested nagging ahead of him until Monday morning’s alarm could deliver him peacefully back to work.

And by late Friday evening Bossy’s husband had installed this new caffeine-laced solution:

   I’m guessing you don’t have a cat, or you did and your dog ate it in one gulp. Rodents generally are not suicidal and won’t come anywhere near the scent of a cat. I’ve almost always had cats, but I did go a couple of years without and natch, ended up with a rodent problem. I quickly found that I have an unnatural terror of them. I now have five cats and no rodents within a 5 mile radius. Anyway, somewhere along the way, I was told that sprinkling used kitty litter around the outside of the house would keep the critters away. You might have to, uh, freshen it up after rains. Let me know if you want some fed-exed. I have lots. And lots. And lots.
