Where Bossy Learns To Adjust The Photos’ Tint So The Wedding Guests Don’t Look Like Corpses.

first

Dear Wedding,

When we left off, Bossy and her brand new husband had just completed their vows, and the guests were filing into the converted barn to cool off drink until they no longer noticed the blistering Heat Index.

As the seventy guests milled around slurping the locally produced wine, many were captured on video offering advice to the newly married couple:

It may warm your heart to know, dear Wedding, that most of the people who were in attendance that day twenty years ago are still very much a part of Bossy’s life.

Except in a few heartbreaking instances:

The guests filled the room with chatter and Marvin Gaye played on the cassette deck and a late lunch was served, buffet style:

While the room socialized around big rented tables, Bossy’s photographer friendwho volunteered to photograph Bossy’s wedding—took amazing portraits of the bride and groom and every single guest.

Oh wait, dear Wedding—Bossy doesn’t actually know if the photographs were amazing because she never received even one picture from her friend.

Luckily Bossy’s friend Ronny stayed on the job documenting and later editing what would eventually become The Wedding Video. And Ronny really captured the moments:

Soon it was time to cut the cake, which was a simple two-tier job. Bossy remembers something about Buttercream, which may just be her favorite word. Is it one word?

Following the distribution of the buttercream with buttercream on top, a few more guests toasted Bossy and her brand new Husband:

Meanwhile Bossy was meandering among her friends and family soaking up the day and every drop of surrounding humidity all the way to the tips of her hair follicles. Which is when someone shouted across the room to Bossy using the word “Mrs” followed by her new married name.

But knowing just what to do, Bossy’s new Husband swooped in to make a panicky Bossy feel better:

With the first marital drama resolved, Bossy’s husband enjoyed a swig of his own.

If you can believe it, dear Wedding, occasionally Bossy and her husband sat their booze down so they could free up their hands for more important matters:

All too soon the guests approached the bride and groom and told them that the wedding was over and it was time to leave the party and begin what would become their regular life:

So the two meandered out to the field and climbed into Bossy’s mom’s car, which had been decorated with the help of an entire Paper Goods store. And off the couple drove into the future, kicking up a bit of dust on their way:
