Guess Who Came To Dinner. Otherwise Known As Aging Is A Bitch.
Bossy recently came across a stack of photos taken during a Thanksgiving dinner a handful of years ago, where handful equals the hand that now has arthritis and has lost total track of time.

Why, it’s none other than the very famous Harry Potter!
While Son of Bossy and Hubby of Bossy look quite similar, I did not for a minute think that first photo was of Son of Bossy. However, for just a moment I did think “Hey look, it’s Viggo Mortensen!”
They certainly do look related. But … I think Bossy’s husband is even hotter now.
I think I have those frames in a drawer somewhere.
Love the photos and while the rest of you have changed over the years, I swear your bro looks just the same! He must be Peter Pan!
Oh Bossy I had those exact frames! Did we look in the mirror and go ‘oh cute’. I don’t think so.
What I did not have was those cute boy husband and brother.

As for all the denim, I have vivid memories of owning long sleeve denim shirts, short sleeve denim shirts, sleeveless denim shirts, denim vests, denim jackets etc…. At the time, my closet must’ve been a sea of blue. After I moved in with my husband, his sole request, as he helped me unpack, was that I please purge some of the denim from my wardrobe. Since I didn’t work on a ranch all that denim seemed a little unneccessary.
So young you were just an arthritic-hand full of years ago!

Bossy’s mom has the same expression as Bossy does now… OR Bossy has the same expression as her mom did then: both equally adorable.
We used to rock the denim pantsuit, too. What I really liked about that look was that it was so fitted and streamlined…

Did Bossy’s brother tell his future-brother-in-law to stay away from his sister or was he responsible for the match?

You know, Bossy’s husband, son and brother all look a lot like each other.
I never had that exact shade of denim…on my computer it looks sort of turquoise except for your brother’s. Ah those were the days. My kids are grown now and my grandson wears denim, too. However, khaki has been creeping in for a number of years. We are all klass around here on holidays with our dressing up and all.
Denim being popular at that time is not the funny part. Te funny part is that it was coordinating denim shirt day! Wish I could have seen that Christmas card!

Did you guys dress the same everywhere you went? The denim shirts make me laugh. But, they do look very nice set against the red checkered paper plates.
Your glasses look positively fashionable compared to the GIANT peach frames I wore for way too many years.

I still wear that denim shirt sometimes. It seems to shrink a bit every time I put it on.

How I cherished my Banana Republic denim shirt back in the day. Soo cool. I like the fact that Bossy and Bossy’s husband (and son) are all dressed in the same shirt. Incidentally, behind those glasses, Harry Potter looks like Bossy’s Daughter (and that’s a compliment, Bossy’s Daughter).
OH, gosh…the denim era. I had to throw all my photos out. But was that a SNOOD i saw?? On bossy’s mom? Snoods are making a comeback, I swear.
Yup. Denim overload. Too funny.
On little side note: if Bossy is almost six feet tall, how enormous are Bossy’s husband and brother? Do you live in the Land of Giants? I am 5′8″ but fear I would be considered a shrimp in your house!

I had the long denim skirt, denim shoes(oh yes i did) and denim jacket. I was all that and then some.

In my sons’ cases: no. Two of them hear all the time that they look a lot like me, although I don’t see it at all. I’m sure they’re delighted to know that in 25 years, they’ll be fattish, grayish and FEMALE.
Thanks for the prance down memory lane. My good friend is the chief of police, and anytime I might forget how ridiculous my glasses choices were, he prints out a copy of my DL photo from, say, 1984.
