Christmas 2009 In Review
The above clay characters, created by Bossy’s daughter, represent all the things Bossy and her family have been doing over the Christmas break so far! Except for the skating on a pond part. And the being upright part.
First Bossy cooked a lot of things. Like this:

Love the negligee. I have a similar one that was recently re-dressed in pineapple banana juice.

So, remember that time that we were drinking and eating tomato and sand canapes and I told you that my liver hurt? Ditto that. I ate the Twelve Days of Christmas and chased it with rum.
I cooked foil too. We must be soul sisters.
The mini tripod might come in handy. I vote for keeping it. I bought a light, weight, sturdy tripod for $20 on ebay. I will send you the link if you are interested.
I have squat little legs that don’t extend, and I am very useful.
Cooking with foil? Were you camping out? Just wondering.
I have a selection of that very same food here. Or at least the very same foil.
Are you SURE that the legs don’t extend or does it just seem that way? Because I’m not sayin’ that you might on occasion have trouble with anything mechanical but I’m just sayin’.
Exactly how does Bossy’s daughter know about Mister Bill? The clay figures better be careful for the rest of school vacation.

I asked for two nights of sleep at the Ritz Carlton for Christmas two years in a row….I’m still waiting.

I wish I could keep sleeping – I am one of three people doomed to go into the office during this week, because I don’t want to use up my vacation hours. It is excruciatingly boring!
OTOH, since no one else is around, we kind of slack off, so it’s not so bad.
That foil food looks like my foil covered ham, my foil covered turkey and my foil covered chocolate cream pie.
My holiday retail sleep schedule was “if I’m awake, I must be at work”
It seems that it was a very Bossy Christmas!
That little tripod would be perfect for shooting Bossy’s house/shoebox diorama!
Right there on the box, it says “Extends to ? inches”. Not wearing my trifocals but maybe 12.1 inches?

The tripod legs no doubt unscrew and extend Bossy.
My mother would insist on recycling that foil.
My mother would have already recycled that foil so many times you would get cuts trying to smooth it out from all the tiny crinkles from being folded up origami style.
Next, we would re-wash the plastic silverware that she saved from last year. When asked why we didn’t just use regular silverware if we were going to wash it, she would tell me I was wasteful and a smart aleck. Both true.
Some Random Thoughts:
1) A ‘potholder’ is the gift that keeps on giving!
2) Recycling foil is never as easy as you think it will be.
3) Loved the claymation photo…reminds me of the old-school kids programs that are on TV during the holidays.
This year, due to travel and familly issues, we have yet to have the meal that tastes better after having spent the night in foil. No ham, no turkey. *sigh* what I wouldn’t give for a leftover right about now.
Ha Ha Ha Ha HA! So funny. I need a tri pod. I wish my husband would have gotten one for me. He got me a watch. It is the ugliest watch in America. I HATE every present he ever gets me. I used to tell him but it hurt his feelings so now I pretend. Pretend to love the ugliest watch ever…. And I am only writing this here because he never reads my blog so I am pretty sure he does not read yours. : ) Don’t tell him! PS LOVE your sleep chart! I don’t want to come back to the city tomorrow! I want this vacation to go on and on….
