The Family Album Straight Up With A Twist.
Walt and Bert arrive in Casper Wyoming and this is the plan: they’re staying with their friends Bud and Mickey until they can save up enough money to rent a little place of their own. Bud and Mickey are good eggs like that.
Here they are on the front steps of Bud’s place. That’s Walt and Bert and their 8-year-old daughter Dondi—and the littlest one? That’s Gail and she belongs to Bud and Mickey. She’s a few years younger than Dondi, but when you leave everything 1,900 miles behind and move to a harsh landscape, the age difference doesn’t matter one wink.
