Bossy’s Favorite Things.

Heating up an unopened bottle to room temperature.

It’s said that the perfect temperature to drink red wine hovers around 60 degrees, which Bossy thinks is one tropical beach shy of enough degrees.

Bossy keeps her wine in her cold basement, so the bottles are quite chilly when hauled up the basement steps every couple of hours days.

So Bossy fills her sink with warm water and submerges the bottle, and then she even fills her wine glass with warm water in preparation.

Yeah, OK, this Favorite Thing is a little obsessive. Carry on.

   Oh no. I can’t take it when wine is warm. AT ALL. In flagrant disregard of all wine rules, I add ice cubes even to red wine.

   You may commence scolding me now. I’m used to it. But it still won’t shame me into drinking warmed wine. GROSS.

   Umm ..this is of course ASSUMING that there is another bottle of vino already opened. and Yah..that whole Vac-U-Vin think for opened bottles of wine??? Best thing I ever got to assure that no opened bottle of wine ever gets closed….!!!

    is the perfect red wine glass because you can fit half the bottle in there and still have a little room at the top so you still look all classy and stuff. Could you pick some of these up for me? We don’t have an Ikea nearby…

    Ooh, I LOVE Gabbiano! We actually got to visit the winery in Italy about 345 years ago when I was younger and didn’t have to haul a kid around with me. My favorite thing about the beautiful winery? The eager little Newfoundland puppy that followed us around everywhere!

    I am so with the people above who cannot drink room-temperature wine. Even though in my house in AZ, room temperature is about 78 unless I get brave with the air-conditioning bill. I keep red wine in the fridge. And then I add ice too. I know it’s wrong. But I don’t care. In fact, I think I’m going to go drink some ice-cold red wine right now. Thanks, Bossy!
