   All the hydrants around here are painted fire engine red. But coolish, scarred, peeling, peed on one there..

   What do they paint them with? Aluminum paint? I was impressed with the ones in Arkansas that were painted a bright blue so the firefighters could find them easily in all the foliage. NY ones are for sure fancy.
