Bossy’s Favorite Things

The Italian Market, in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. But maybe you knew that already.

Where else can you walk among princes and paupers, with every ethnicity represented? Once again Bossy and her mom and her daughter — three generation of happy Bossy-like people — went to the Italian Market on Christmas Eve eve to collect all of the ingredients they’ll need for the long holiday weekend.

   I still find the Italian Market gross, even after 22 years in the city, and living 1 mile from it. Just don’t like it–except for Fantes, of course!

Pick up some chestnuts, cardoons, artichokes and baccala and you’re there or here at my house. OK, we sub in salmon for the baccala, because really who has the time to reconstitute salted cod!
