Bossy’s Favorite Things

You know what Bossy is talking about, right? It’s that particular concentration face we all make, beginning the day we are assigned a face and continuing all the way up to the morgue stretcher?
In the case above, Bossy’s son was packing the car to return to Columbia University, where the kitchens don’t smell like burnt stove hood filters, and the onions are never flambéed.
When Bossy is 100, Bossy’s Son will be saying
“Ma! Remember the year I came home from Columbia and you tried to burn down the kitchen?”
It’s so amazing to see him transform more and more into a real grownup person.
He is well-dressed. Sharp, I guess you would call it.
If he breaks up with his girlfriend, I have a daughter that needs a boyfriend.
I’m digging the hair, Bossy’s son. Study hard!

p.j.’s son left yesterday morning–he couldn’t wait to get back to school. I think that has something to do with the young lady friend in his class– the one he spent 6 days with at her home in California during break. Be glad the Delightful One lives in Philly.
