Bossy’s Favorite Things
These high heels. Bossy ordered them last spring when that whole Dansko debacle happened.
Bossy loves them, and she takes them out of her closet often just to admire them! And yes, that’s dust you see on Bossy’s favorite things!
The reason Bossy’s Favorite Things are admired more than worn is because Bossy is nearly 6′ tall, and she never really learned how to walk in heels. She did, however, learn how to trip and slide and hobble in heels.
It doesn’t help that every time Bossy wears her high heels, people say things like, “It should be illegal for you to wear those shoes.” Oh such confidence builders!
I love Soft shoes and hope to get a pair of their heels soon.
My girlfriend is 6′6″. That’s right – 6 and a half feet tall. Which is 1′4″ taller than me.
And – she always wears heels during the work week, and for going out on weekends, which means that a lot of the time when I see her, she’s 6′9″. But she has a great confidence in carrying her height gracefully. (Although she does have to watch out for low doorways and such). And three of my good friends from all the way back in high school are 5′10″, 5′11″ and 6′0.
So, I say, “Work it if you’ve got it!”

I’m only 5′ and I wish I could wear heels, but the arches and knees won’t let me. (Suggestions from commenters??) I hear practice is the key to grace in heels, BOSSY, so I think you should wear them often. They’re lovely!

I have arthritic old feet and cannot wear heels anymore.
Save that pair. Any weekend now, Bossy’s Daughter will be borrowing them to wear to a school dance.

I think of Rebecca Romijn when I think of tall women who rock high heels. Bossy’s got the hair, the looks, the skinny ass butt, just WEAR THEM. You probably won’t fall off of those, since they are maryjane style and have a strap and all.

Embrace wearing heels with the height. Wear those adorable shoes! I’m about 6′7″ when I wear my size 13 boats (I mean heels)… and get way more attention than when I don’t.
I love Sofft shoes. I just found awesome pair of clogs with embossed leather!!!
Although I love the idea of embossed leather…it’s very likely that I will be admiring my un-worn dusty clogs a year from now.

As someone who is also just shy of 6 feet (by only about 9 inches) people have also told me it should be illegal for me to wear heels. Mostly because when I do, they keep having to pick me up off the floor.
My daughter–3 inches shy of 6 feet–looks gorgeous in her high heels. She has no problem being 6 inches taller than her Homecoming date–which I completely admire.
Those look just like something I would wear! I looove them.
I hear you Bossy, at some point cute heels (do they make “cute heels” in Size 12? They always look so huge at the store) are way more hassle than the comments they’re worth. And then there’s the constant bending down so you can be part of the conversation. Oy vey.

I know your pain. at 6′3″ I don’t usually wear heels either… the sprained ankles and calloused remarks just aren’t really worth it
