Bossy’s Favorite Things
These boots. Even if they kicked off the whole Poverty Party thing — and see how Bossy did that? Made a boot pun right here in the middle of her Favorite Things post?
The thing Bossy loves about these boots — beside their comfort which makes Bossy sorry to see summer arrive because it means forfeiting them for lighter footwear — is they just keep getting better with age. Bossy looks at photos of her boots when they were new and barely likes them.
Now they’re covered with gashes and drip marks and it only makes them more pliable and personality-filled.
Bossy believes the key to cute shoes is actually wearing the hell out of them. When they are too coddled, they are unconvincing.
As it should be with almost everything.
Why do people go for a sterile perfection?

This theory works only when you start with really good quality leather. I have a closet full of crap that testifies to the opposite, unfortunately. CUTE BOOTS.
My theory is that Bossy could even make wearing a potato sack look cute!
Very cute boots!! I’ve always been jealous of people who can wear boots. I’ve never been about to get my stubby little feet comfortably into a pair. They say it’s because I have high insteps.
This is why those boots were a very wise investment! There are certain things that just always improve with age: a cast iron skillet, good quality boots; men….
