Bossy’s Favorite Things

Throwing dinner parties. It’s not the food, which is fun to prepare. Or the fact the house is at its vacuumed best.

It’s that the Bossy clan throws so many dinner parties that everyone in Bossy’s family knows the drill completely — and so wordlessly everyone sets off to refill candle holders with votives, bring extra wine glasses from their box, and situate more chairs around the table.

In Bossy house, dinner parties throw themselves.

   I love that they all pitch in. I have to tell my husband what to do at every little turn. Maybe I will give him lessons and a checklist instead.

   I love to have friends in for a meal. I like to cook. The problem is figuring out how to get the house to clean itself first, because I do not like vacuuming and dusting. At all.
