I grew up in a small town in Mississippi where we still had a guy driving around in a mule drawn wagon hawking boiled peanuts and watermelons. Hubby grew up in the Bronx and industrial Northern New Jersey living in apartments and a tiny duplex. Even after twenty years, we learn something new from each other every day like apples have stems or abandoned Safeway parking lots make great play grounds.
Good. Then I feel better for thinking it was a frog.

Unlike money, these things do grow on trees down here, but usually not til the fall. Then they fall off the tree and onto the ground, and then a lizard is born and climbs out of the apple.
Stems and seeds may be a part of this process, but it’s optional.
that reminds me of the time BOSSY thought there was a chinchilla on her neighbor’s roof every single day forever. and BOSSY’s hunband was probably all ever heard of a vent (or something like a vent, but certainly not a chinchilla). (or an oppossum.)
