Yet Another Little Known Fact

Last night Bossy and her family went to the cheesy Philadelphia institution, Pat’s Steaks. The Bossy family schooled Bossy’s son’s delightful girlfriend in the protocol of placing an order, along the lines of extra whiz wit (extra cheese whiz, fried onions.)

The best part was the guy taking the orders, who got on Bossy’s daughter’s case for ordering a cheesesteak with provolone. He offered to make her a cheesesteak she could return if she wasn’t 100% satisfied. He managed to talk one of the least adventurous eaters in the world into a gooey cheese whiz steak, and Bossy is thinking about marrying him.

   It’s a science trying to order a steak from SPhilly. I personally prefer Tony Luke’s. I usually practice what to say while waiting in line, only to be corrected when I order.

   Ah, Pat’s. p.j.’s brother taught her how to order when he was at Temple, and she and roomies visited/crashed in his room on the way to D.C. for an anti-war demonstration in 1971. You were a babe then, right?

    and I want one of those cheesesteaks but now will be totally intimidated about ordering. Not that I’ll be anywhere near Philadelphia anytime soon. I’ll just get a head start on worrying. And being hungry.
