For all of you single-season types who are all, “Oh I miss the North and the cobblestone streets and…” — don’t forget about the other side of seasonal living. These!
We moved last year to different house and somehow, the way the wind blows and the location of trees have made it that this house ends up with NO leaves on the lawn!!!!
This is in Massachusetts too people! What a nice surprise!
P.S. doesn’t make up for the other surprise at this house, water in the basement!
Oooh, wait! I think I remember what those are! Living in Brooklyn, we don’t really have the “yard” thing going on. But I do love love love autumn and all those leaves that fall down that I don’t have to deal with in any way shape or form.

If you’re unfortunate enough to pick up a walnut past its prime, you get an impossible-to-remove black goop stain that looks like you washed your hands with a black Sharpie…good times.

Now shoveling snow would be a whole different thing…..shoveling I’m not as crazy about. Those will be the days I look back on SoCal and wonder what I was thinking. This I know.
I just moved from Maui to Maryland last week…I understand what you mean! My yard is one big leaf pile. The problem is I’d rather go to Ikea for 4 hours on Saturday then rake leaves for 4 hours.
I was thinking the exact same thing yesterday while blowing/raking leaves. Although, my leaves cannot compare to your mountain of leaves.
Just pray for snow, then you won’t see them.

Yeah. Leaves. We have a gazillion of ‘em. Too many to blower vacc that’s for sure… taking arty photos is a way better use of your time!!!
