One more for the category of You Know You’ve Been On The Road Too Long When… you think this is the best truck stop you have ever seen because it has real live fruit! Buried in Jello.
Having frequented a lot of rest stop food places, that actually DOES look like the largest number of healthy options I’ve ever seen. It looks more like an NYC deli than a truck stop. And I mean that in a good way.
Oooh that was a Pilot wasn’t? I remember those on my drive to Chicago from AZ. Life savers – tho yea I ate cheese doodles and chex mix and red bull. Fruit is not road food iI don’t care if it is in jello…

there is a truck stop on the five hour ride from my house to my mother’s that sells real fruit not encased in jello. I never by it (see Heather’s comment above), but it looks really nice.
