Yet Another Little Known Fact

Pelicans do more gliding than flapping because… Bossy forgets why. Something about their, um, wings.

   Hi Bossy! I hope you are having an excellent trip. Pelicans are the most fun to watch, in their ridiculous way. I suspect that is rather rude of me.
   Did you know that thousands of brown pelicans winter north of St. Louis on the Mississippi river? They hang out at a huge set of locks, lined up on the concrete barriers.

   Nature HAD to give that poor bird an aesthetic upside, I mean come on. The graceful gliding makes up for the bill a little bit.
