Why I won’t ever live in NJ again . . . and haven’t since I was 18 (or 22, officially). About 12-15 years ago, we were in the habit of taking advantage of SW airline’s cheap flights to Baltimore, renting a car, & driving the 3 hours up to my parents’ in central NJ. On one occasion, we got stuck in the middle of the night in a construction/accident jam in the wilds of south Jersey. Didn’t move for an hour. Two young kids crying and exhausted. We gave up, got off at the next exit, found a motel, rented the last room, and crashed. Flew to Newark ever after. That’s all I have to say. Hope you had a good time in the City. p.j.
