Kirstie Alley Cleans With Vodka. And Other News.
Did you see this? It was on Aunt Oprah last week. Kirstie Alley was sharing her housecleaning tips, and at first she was all, “My favorite room to clean in the house is the bathroom.”
And then she was all, “Cleaning is about the isopropyl alcohol. And put your back into it, it’s not going to clean itself.”
But then Kirstie Alley admitted that in her house, she only cleans with Vodka, the cheap stuff, since it’s very effective, has no odor, and is environmentally friendly in the drains.
She also pointed out that when using vodka, a little goes a long way and so is less expensive than most cleaning fluids:

The weight doesn’t mean she can’t be attractive. The fake hair in that particular shade and the hang-over look are what make her unattractive.

Cleaning with vodka. hmmmm… I think that’s about as effective as how I cook with wine….
by the time you’re done, you don’t notice that the bathroom is still dirty.
I have heard vodka is a good cleaner. I use vinager.

As for the vodka thing, I am an Episcopal priest and we are being told to use a vodka soaked puruficator to wipe the chalice should there be an H1N1 outbreak in our area.

All that bathroom cleaning and vodka explains the hungover and haggard look Kirstie has going on. I think her bathroom can wait- she’s in a desperate need of a make-over asp!
I keep trying to clean with Vodka, but it keeps sloshing itself into my glass of Cranberry Juice, but I won’t give up.

Kirstie could be onto something. Carried in nip form, vodka could serve as hand sanitizer, a disinfectant and a tranquilizer, all in a convenient purse size.
Does she clean with vodka in her toilet or vodka in her stomach? Cuz’ I’m partial to the latter.

Wow, $12.99 for a bottle of Absolut?! That’s what I pay here in GA for the cheap stuff. Even at that price, I’d be hard put to clean with it unless I planned to start drinking out of the toilet.

I had a professor in grad school who told us no matter how much money we made, we should always clean our own homes. Something about the remembering the value of hard work. Whatever! If I had the kind of money she has, I would never clean another bathroom again!!! Schwew. Glad I got that off my chest.
I clean my throat and belly with vodka all the time. and Kirstie is right, the cheaper the better.
I just want to know how she came to realize that vodka was so good for cleaning.
For me, vodka’s always good for making my husband look really cute.
I always did like that Kirstie Alley.
I think Jenny Craig just didn’t handle her correctly…their version of Penne a la Vodka and Kirstie’s version just didn’t gel. JC’s actually had pasta in it.
