   I can only assume a lot of grade schoolers were looking up Bin Laden for their class reports. Because the alternative–that we are totally uninformed–is too disquieting.

   An umlaut is the two dots over a vowel in the German language. That is possibly the only thing I still know after 5+ years of German in school and having a German father. He is so proud.
