Dear Forever,
Remember when people would speak about apps and they meant stuff like salmon canapés?
But now people speak about apps and they mean the application software available for their various technology.
Bossy doesn’t have many applications on her iPhone, which is one reason Bossy refers to it as her iPhobe. But Bossy does want to tell you about her new favorite app, Camera+.
And Bossy knows what you’re thinking. You’re thinking Enough with the photos that are manipulated to look as though they came from Bossy’s grandfather’s cigar box!
Bossy loves her other camera apps, such as Hipstamatic — but Camera+ allows you to take the photo first and then apply tricks and changes in the editing process, including cropping, lighting adjustments, and various framing options.
Bossy can sum up her favorite apps in this way: Maps, weather, and that’s about it. Four words for sale.
Which is what today’s Ten-Word Challenge is all about. In exactly ten words, can you help broaden Bossy’s horizons by telling her about your favorite apps?
And be sure to check back later today for the best app suggestions on the web.
If you missed last week’s Ten-Word Challenge about undiagnosed symptoms, click here! There was a lively discussion in the comment section, nearly 100 contributors strong.

August 9, 2011 at 12:20 pmIMHO Camera+ is the best camera app – and I’ve tried a lot of them. I use Camera+ and then post with Instagram. I also use Things for both my phone and laptop to stay organized … more costly than some productivity apps, but worth every penny because it keeps my life together for me. Yelp is awesome (used it in San Diego to find Thai food.) Twitter/FB/G+ Was this supposed to only be 10 words? I think I need an app for that …..! (xo miss you!)

August 9, 2011 at 1:31 pmQrank on my iTouch, because I love, love, love me some trivia. I wish they made it for Android.
And on my Android… I’m embarrassed to say that I love Yahtzee (and have invented THREE Yahtzee variations, just to keep things interesting) and Shortz (crossword puzzles from a bunch of sources) and OverDrive, through which I can download library books FOR FREEEEEEE yay. This makes me very happy when I travel, and even more, when I stumble to the bathroom in the middle of the night, using my phone as a flashlight, and find myself in the loo for, er, a bit longer than expected.
