Blog Kindergarten: A Bossy Tutorial. How To Remove ‘Dust Marks’ From Your Reuters Photograph.

Let’s face it – we are all slaves to fraud those pesky little dry particles of matter: Dust. And why should a Darkroom be any different? Dust can settle on your negatives causing compromised prints.

That’s why Lebanese freelance photographer Adnan Hajj developed the following method of dust removal:

  1. Handle the negatives with lint-free gloves.

  2. Pull the negative through a tacky anti-static roller brush.

  3. Remove lingering particles with a blast of compressed canned air.

  4. Store your freshly developed negatives in acid-free paper sleeves.
