A Hump Day Giveaway. Because Bossy Woke Up Thinking It Was Friday And Ouch That Hurts.
Bossy chews her toothbrush. It’s a secret habit, where secret equals she writes posts about it on the Internet for her daughter’s social studies teacher to read.
Chewing the indicator bristles from the toothbrush is an ugly habit that has contributed handily to Bossy’s debt, because just you try keeping Bossy in Oral Bs.
This is why Bossy was so grateful when Ultreo stepped forward and asked if Bossy would like to sample their power toothbrush:

Although, I must admit, when I first read its name, I thought it said “Utero,” and that to thoughts about ultrasounds, and then Bossy wrote about ultrasounds, and I once again thought the toothbrush was named after the uterus, and does admitting this disqualify me?!

Wow, if I had me one of these, I would feel a lot less guilty about not flossing…and not going to the dentist…and not paying nearly enough attention to my dental hygiene. Seeing as how I just found some disgusting specimens in the bottom of our toothbrush holder yesterday, I could you a new brush.

I had a Sonicare toothbrush and loved it…but somehow, I killed it. Cracked the brush head collar, and then the thread part of the body. Yep. Oh, and not just once, either…I went through four of them before I gave up and went back to old-school brushing. I miss my Sonicare.

Does the ultreo make your head vibrate? When Sonicare first came out (several yrs ago!) – we tried it for that squeaky clean feeling. Well not only were we squeaky clean, our brains were shaken, not stirred!!

I chew my toothbrush too, but I come about it genetically. My mother also chewed her toothbrush down to the nubs. If my children regularly brushed their teeth, I would know if they inherited the gene. But…. that isn’t gonna happen.

I don’t chew my toothbrush, but I must brush stupidly because my new toothbrush will always look like a hedgehog within a week. Hmm, now I’m imagining shoemaker hedgehogs scurrying around my mouth at night, getting all the chores done. (Oh, man, I wonder if they floss, too?)
Oh, and I brush horizontally, like in old cartoons. I don’t understand brushing vertically. Ow? And those little circles they tried to train us to do in the second grade? Too distracting! Clearly, I need a gadget intervention.. or the name of a reliable hedgehog breeder.

Could you please have mercy on someone who recently had to have a major tooth pulled due to fear of going to the dentist for 7 years? And then when she went they told her that oops, yes, you have an infection in that tooth so bad it has eaten the bone away and also you brush your teeth too hard. As in I no longer have any bristles on my toothbrush and have taken to using a power washer.

i use a crest brush, but i’ve been thinking about getting one that recharges instead of using new batteries each time. i like to think green when it comes to batteries, not tooth coatings.
