Remember that book, Tuesdays With Morrie, about the man who spends once a week with his 78-year-old terminally ill former teacher, who imparts all manner of life lessons from his death bed?
Well Bossy is involved in a relationship exactly like that, except she spends Fridays with her friend Jeff.
Meet Jeff.
Jeff is a very old friend of Bossy’s. And here Bossy is not referring to how long she’s known Jeff, which is, like, a month. No, Jeff is just old.
And Bossy’s friend Jeff is a huge fan of Bossy’s blog!
So. Bossy and her friend Jeff get together every single Friday, where every single Friday equals twice in six weeks.
Except, instead of the scenario where Bossy or her friend Jeff die in the end, Bossy and Jeff thought it would be more fun if every Friday they went somewhere for soup.
So there Bossy and her friend Jeff sit every Friday that is more like two Fridays in six weeks, slurping their spicy tuna roll and telling each other their dreams. No, not their hopes for the future! Bossy means their dreams.
Anyway. Jeff is busy today. So much for that very famous book, Fridays with Jeff.

January 21, 2011 at 1:59 pmYou’re never going to have enough material for a book at this rate. Tell this Jeff dude to get with it. And do something interesting – if he refuses to get a terminal disease, he could at least commit a heinous crime, or enter politics or something.

January 21, 2011 at 7:24 pmBut Olivia has really interesting dreams which equals (to copy Bossy) that Olivia dreams she is one of her kids back in the Jurassic Era and Olivia doesn’t quite get this so she thinks that she and Bossy might have something to talk about over non-soup . . .

January 22, 2011 at 1:37 amI say go ahead with the book. It sounds like one I might be able to actually read all the way through instead of getting to chapter 4 and giving up.

My grown daughter had a wonderful dream a few days, weeks, ago. She killed the crocodile who has haunted her dreams for more years than either of us want to know. Context was clear as a bell too.
Yay, Urs!

January 26, 2011 at 12:06 amFunny thing is last night I had a dream, it was an awesome dream. You see there were people in the park playing games in the dark…and don’t ya know what they played was a masquerade. But don’t worry, from behind the walls of doubt a voice was crying out. It was saying, “stop quoting Lionel Richie you friggin idiot.” Then I woke up in a cold sweat.

January 29, 2011 at 2:15 pmAre you sureBossy’s friend Jeff isn’t actually Bob Forrest from Celeb Rehab? Maybe he’s busy helping Dr Drew with someone from a reality show who’s going through heroin withdrawal,
